Expert Answer
All animals, whether herbivores or carnivores, depend ultimately on plants for food. Plants are the producers and form the base of every food chain. Many food chains can be found in the forest, all of which are interlinked. If any one food chain is disturbed, it affects other food chains. So, cutting down the trees will affect all the other components of the forest and cause an imbalance in the forest.
