Let the number be x.

 

 

Number increased by 5 = x + 5

 

 

Resulting number is fifth multiple of 3 = 5X3 = 15

 

 

According to the given equations,

 

 

 x + 5 = 15

 

 

 x = 15 - 5

 

 

 x = 10
