# A man is sitting on the shore of a river. He is in the line of a 1.0m long boat and is 5.5m away from the centre of the boat. He wishes to throw an apple into the boat. As shown in figure, when apple is thrown from A to B, range is 4.5 m. Similarly, when apple is thrown from A to C, range is 6.5 m.

Range of projectile  R = ( u2sin2α ) / g  , where u is projection velocity and α is angle of projection.
