Number of shares = 1800
Face value of each share = Rs. 100
dividend = 15%
Annual dividend = begin mathsize 16px style 15 over 100 cross times 1800 cross times 100 end style = Rs. 27,000
Total investment 1800 shares at 40% premium = begin mathsize 16px style 140 over 100 cross times 100 cross times 1800 end style = 2,52,000
Return = begin mathsize 16px style fraction numerator 27 comma 000 over denominator 2 comma 52 comma 000 end fraction cross times 100 end style = 10.71
