We know that pressure exerted is given by the formula Pressure = Force / Area
And Force = Weight = mg

Step 1: For the girl:
Area of the cross section is for two feets. So A = 2 × 1 cm2
Calculate weight and substitute in the formula of pressure.
It comes out to be Pg = 250 N cm2

Step 2: For elephant:
Area of the cross section is for four feet. So A = 4 × 250 cm2
Calculate weight and substitute in the formula of pressure.
It comes out to be Pe = 50 N cm2

Thus, the pressure exerted by the girl is more than that of the elephant.
It is five times more!!..
