Let the volume of the closed vessel to be 'v'.
Let mass = M and velocity = v
According to kinetic theory of gases,
P = [(1/3) Mv2] / V
Now, if mass is halfed and speed is doubled,
Resultant pressure
P' = [(1/3) (1/2)M(2v)2] / V
or, P' = (2/3) P
