A force produces an acceleration of 3m/s2 in a body X and 6 m/s2 in another body Y. What is the ratio of the mass of X to the mass of Y?

it is general rule of solving equations.
You solved it is mass of X to Y thats why it is 6:3
otherwise it would have been reciprocal
