The correct question must be as follows. The question stated above has 54 kg which is to be replaced by 54 g
So the correct question is : -
A density bottle weighs 30 g when empty and 54 g when filled with kerosene. Find density of kerosene in C.G.S. Units and its R.D(volume of bottle is 30 ml)
Solution:-
Mass of bottle when empty is 30 g
Mass of bottle when filled with kerosene is 54 g
Thus of mass of liquid is = 54 g - 30 g = 24 g
Volume of bottle = 30 ml = 30 cm3
density = mass/ volume
Thus,
Density of kerosene = 24/30 = 0.8 g/cm3
Thus, density of kerosene in CGS unit is 0.8 g/cm3
Thus, R.D. of kerosene is 0.8
