A cylinder made of lead has base radius 7 cm and height 20 cm. It is melted and recasted into a cone of base radius 14 cm. Find its height.

Given: Radius of the cylinder (R) = 7 cm, height (H) = 20 cm

Radius of cone (r) = 14 cm

Let h be the height of the cone

Now, Volume of cylinder = Volume of the cone

straight h space equals space fraction numerator 3 cross times 7 cross times 7 cross times 20 over denominator 14 cross times 14 end fraction
