A concave lens of active index 1.5 is immersed in a medium of refractive index 1.65. what is the nature of lens? give reason to ur ans.

Figure shown above gives the ray diagram for the concave lens whose refractive index of medium is 1.5 is placed in another medium of refractive index 1.65. Since the light ray enters from denser to rarer medium, light ray deviates away from normal and give rise to convergence. when light ray emerges out of concave lens it crosses the boundary from rarer medium to denser medium. In this boundary light ray deviates towards normal. But overall effect is convergence as shown in figure
