Power P1 of lens1 = +12.5D ; focal length f1 = 100/12.5 = +8 cm
Power P2 of lens2 = -2.5D ; focal length f2 = 100/(-2.5) = -40 cm
 
lens1 is convex lens of focal length 8 cm; lens2 is concave lens of focal length 40 cm
 
Focla length of combined lens system :- begin mathsize 12px style 1 over F space equals space fraction numerator 1 over denominator f 1 end fraction plus fraction numerator 1 over denominator f 2 end fraction space equals space 1 over 8 minus 1 over 40 equals space 1 over 10 end style
hence F = +10 cm; power = 100/10 = +10 D
