a centigrate and farhenite thermometer are dipped in boiling water .the water temp is lowered untill the farhenite thermometer resister 140degree.whwt is the fall in temp as resisterde by centigrade thermometer?a-30degree,40degree,60degree,80degree

Answer:
Farenheat to centigrade conversion is (5/9)(F-32) = C.
Now farenheat reading is 140, hence C = (5/9)(140-32) = (5/9)×108 = 60°C.
 
since initial temperature was 100 °C, fall in temperature is 40°C
