Expert Answer
When the car-Y starts from the starting place, car-X has already travelled for 1 hour 20 mins
Distance travelled by car-x before car-y starts = speed×time = 60×(4/3) = 80 km.
Let car-y meet car-x after t hours.
Distance travelled by car-y = (80×t) km
Distance travelled by car-x from starting time to the time it meets car-y = (80+60×t) km
when both the car meets, distance travelled by both of them is same.
Hence,we have (80×t) = 80+60×t)
80×t - 60×t = 80
20×t = 80
t = 80/20 = 4
Hence both the car will meet 4 hours after the starting time of car-y
