Let A is strating point as shown in figure.
AB is the distance travelled in east direction for an hour with speed 60 km/hr. Hence AB = 60 km
BC is the distance travelled in south with same speed for half an hour. Hence BC = 30 km.
 
Displacement AC = begin mathsize 12px style square root of 60 squared plus 30 squared end root space equals space 67.08 space k m end style
