A car is moving on a straight road due north with a uniform speed of 50km/h when it turns left through 90 degree. If if the speed remains unchanged after turning, change in velocity of the car in the turning process is:

Answer:
Let the direction towrds North is Y axis. Initial velocity vi of the car is 50j. when the car turn left and speed remains same. hence final velocity vf is -50i.
Change in velocity  Δvvf-vi = -50i - 50j.
 
magntiude of  Δv = square-root-of(50×50+50×50) = 70.71 , direction towards south-west
 
the answer :-   (B) increases
