Answer for question No. 7 :-
 
If the bullet which is moving with speed 90 m/s, is stopped  after passing through 60 cm in the wooden block,
 
then retardation a is given by,   u2 = 2 a S  ..........................(1)
 
where u is inital speed and S is the distance penatrated by bullet in the wooden block
 
retardation a = u2 / ( 2 S ) = ( 90 × 90 )/ ( 2 × 60 × 10-2 ) = 6750 m/s2
 
REsistive force = mass of bullet × retardation = 0.04 × 6750 = 270 N
