A bullet is fired horizontally aiming at an object which starts falling at instant the bullet is fired. show that the bulletvwill hit the object

Vertical distance h travelled by falling object after t seconds is given by,  h = (1/2)gt2 .......................(1)
Bullet is aimed towards the object horizontally and started firing when object started falling.
If we need to calculate the vertical distance travelled by bullet, we have take its initial velocity zero because the bullet aimed horizontaly.
Vertical distance H travelled by bullet after a time t is given by H = (1/2)gt2 .......................(2)
 
from (1) and (2), we can prove that the vertical distance travelled by bullet and the falling object are same
for the given same time to bullet and falling object. Hence bullet will hit the object.
vertical displacement is same for both, because initial velocity is zero for both.
