Work done for climbing the stairs is 1200 J
P.E. = work done = mgh 
1200 = 50 × 9.8 × h
h =1200/(50×9.8)
h = 2.4 m 
Thus, height climbed by the boy on spending 1200 J of energy is 2.4 m
