A boy of height 1.7m is standing 30m away from a flagstaff on the same level ground.He observes that the angle of elevation of the top of the flagstaff is 30 degrees.Calculate the height of the flagstaff.

Draw a figure such that AB represents the height of the flagstaff, CD represents the height of the boy. 
Then, as given in the question, CD = 1.7 m, BD = 30m. Draw a line CE parallel to BD intersecting AB at point E.
