Initial velocity 3 m/s. This velocity component will not be altered by normal acceleration. hence this component velocity after 4 s is 3 m/s.
This object has normal acceleration 1 m/s2. Initial normal velocity is zero. hence the normal velocity after 4 s is given by
 
v = 1×4 = 4 m/s.
