A bird is sitting on a wire, flies , circle around and comes back to its perch. Explain the total distance it traversed during its flight and it's eventual displacement.

Bird comes back to its perch after taking a circular round. 
 
As it is a circular round, 
The total distance traversed by the bird = 2∏r 
where, r - radius of its circular path
 
And we know that the displacement = final poition - initial position
 
In this case, the initial poistion and the final position of the bird is same. 
Thus, displacement of bird = 0
