A ball is kicked at an angle of 30 degrees with the verticAl, if the horizontal component of its velocity is 19.6m/s. Find the max. height and horizontal plane.

1) The ball is kicked with 30° with vertical. So, its angle with horizontal is 60°.
 
2) Calculate the speed of projection by using cosine angle. uh = u cosθ. So, u = 19.6 × 2 = 39.2 m/s
 
3) Calculate maximum height using H = u2sin2θ/2g. You will get 58.8 m.
 
4) Calculate maximum range using R = u2sin2θ/g. You will get 135.8 m.
