A 680 kg rocket is to be lifted off the surface of the moon, where g = 1.67 m/s^2. What force is required to give it an upward accleration of 2 m/s^2.   GIVE WITH PROPER STEPS

Let F is the forec required to give net acceleration 2 m/s2.
 
Then we have  (F - M×1.67) = M×2 
where M is mass of rocket, M = 680 kg
 
F = M×2+M×1.67 = M×3.67 = 680×3.67 = 2496 N
