Relative Atomic Mass (based on hydrogen scale)
It is the ratio of the mass of one atom of an element to the mass of one atom of hydrogen taken as standard.
RAM = Mass of 1 atom of an element
Mass of 1 atom of hydrogen
Relative Atomic Mass (based on carbon scale)
RAM = Mass of 1 atom of an element___________
1/12th part of the mass of 1 atom of carbon
It is the ratio of the mass of one atom of an element to 1/12th part of the mass of one atom of carbon.
