ICSE Class 9 Answered

What is Tyndall Effect ?
Asked by Pankaj | 19 Mar, 2016, 08:33: PM
answered-by-expert Expert Answer
Tyndall effect is the scattering of light as the light beam passes through a colloid.
Each suspended particle scatters and reflect light which make the light beam visible.
This scattering depends upon the density of suspended particles and frequency of light beam.
Example: In foggy atmosphere, the headlights of car get scattered due to tiny water droplets.
