WHY ARE LYSOSOMES CALLEDTHE 'SUICIDE BAGS OF CELLS'?

Lysosomes are cell organelles that contain digestive enzymes. When the cell is aged or has been infected, the lysosome releases digestive enzymes which digests the content of the cell; thus killing it. Hence lysosomes are called as the 'suicide cells of the cell'
