The hybridisation of nitrogen in (pyrrole) is :

how to find its hybridisation?   is there a formula for hybridisation of aromatic compounds?

Answer:
To find out the hybridisation there is a formula:

2x = No. of valence electrons of the central atom - charge + no. of monovalent atoms attached (Cl, H etc)

If x = 2 then hybridisation will be sp
   x = 3 then sp2
   x = 4 then sp3

Example H2O ,
   2x = 6 - 0 + 2
   2x = 8
    x = 4
we get x=4 which means its hybridisation will be sp3.

Let's find the hybridisation of Pyrrol,

By using above formula,

2x = 5 - 0 + 3

2x = 8

x = 4

we get x=4 which means its hybridisation will be sp3.

But the nitrogen atom is in conjugation,

therefore it's hybridisation will be sp2
