Expert Answer
This is a very logical and intelligent question. It is true that transparent objects allow light to pass through them. But the ratio is not 100%. A fraction of light is always refracted, reflected at various angles. Majority of the light passes undeviated, but this fraction that either gets reflected or refracted makes the object visible to us. Also we need to understand that light travels in all directions and there is always some stray light that will be deviated by the object and reach us.
