Red blood cells (RBCs) are produced in the bone marrow. In case, the RBCs get ruptured due to wear and tear, they will be either trapped in blood or else disintegrated in liver or spleen. They will never be trapped in the bone marrow which is the site of production of RBCs.

So, the correct answer is option d – Bone marrow.
