Let us assume the first statement (A) is true and we take potential at D = 40 V
current in the segment AD = (70-40)/10 = 3A ; current in the segment DB = 40/20 = 2A; current in the segment DC = (40-30)/30 = 1 A.
Hence second staement (B) is true.
power dissipated by 10Ω resistor in the segment AD = 3×3×10 = 90 W ;
power dissipated by 20Ω resistor in the segment DB = 2×2×20 = 80 W ;
power dissipated by 30Ω resistor in the segment AD = 1×1×30 = 30 W ;
total power dissipation = 90+80+30 = 200 W ; hence third statement (C) is true;
Hence the correct choice to be selected as (D) all the above.
