The difference between the daily maximum and minimum temperature is referred to as the diurnal range of temperature. High temperature, high humidity and adequate rainfall are some characteristics of the equatorial type of climate. (It rains almost every day). The equatorial type of climate experiences a diurnal range of 60C to 100C. It is because while the temperature during the day may become hot due to the vertical rays of the Sun, the nights may cool down due to heavy downpour during afternoon or evenings.
