A 750 kg rocket, at rest in outer space, propels itself forward by ejecting 45kg of hot gas, which leaves the nozzle at 85 m/s. Find the change in momentum of the fuel. GIVE WITH PROPER STEPS.

I assume the question asked is change in momentum of ejected fuel. Initially the rocket is rest hence fuel also at rest.
Hence initial momentum of ejected fuel is zero.
 
45 kg of fuel is ejected at a speed of 85 m/s. Hence final momentum of ejected fuel is 45×85 = 3825 kg-m/s
 
change in momentum = 3825 kg-m/s
