5 cells each has 5v,1 ohm are connected in series and by mistake 2 cells are wrongly connected to an external resistance 5 ohm.,then the current through the circuit is

when cells are connected in series and some of the cells wrongly connected(terminals reversed),
we have to deduct the emf of wrongly connected cells from total emf, but all the internal resistances are to be added.
 
hence net emf = (5×5)-(2×5) = 15 V
 
net internal resistance = 5×1 = 5Ω
total resistance in the circuit = internal resistances+external load resistance = 5+5 = 10Ω
 
current in the circuit = 15/10 = 1.5 A
