Let the car has to take t seconds to pass the truck.

Distance S travelled by the car in t seconds = initial separation distance+Distance reavelled by the truck in t seconds+length of truck +length of car

S = 25+20×t+20+5 = 50+20×t = 20×t +(1/2)×0.6×t2

hence we get t2 = 500/3 ; or t = 13 s;

distance travelled by the car = 20×13+(1/2)×0.6×(500/3) = 310 m

speed of the car = 20+0.6×13 = 27.8 m/s
