fraction numerator 3 plus straight y over denominator straight y plus 7 end fraction equals 3 over 5 rightwards double arrow 5 left parenthesis 3 plus straight y right parenthesis space equals space 3 left parenthesis straight y plus 7 right parenthesis rightwards double arrow 15 plus 5 straight y equals 3 straight y plus 21 rightwards double arrow 5 straight y minus 3 straight y equals 21 minus 15 rightwards double arrow 2 straight y equals 6 straight y equals 3
