begin mathsize 12px style The space equation space of space the space straight x minus axis space is space straight y space equals space 0.
Solve space straight y equals 0 space and space straight x over 2 plus straight y over 3 equals 1 space to space obtain space the space point space of space intersection.
Substitute space straight y space equals space 0 space in space the space second space equation space to space obtain space the space value space of space straight x.
straight x over 2 plus straight y over 3 equals 1 rightwards double arrow straight x over 2 plus fraction numerator left parenthesis 0 right parenthesis over denominator 3 end fraction equals 1 rightwards double arrow straight x over 2 equals 1 rightwards double arrow straight x equals 2
So comma space straight x equals 2 space comma space straight y space equals space 0
So space the space coordinates space of space the space point space are space left parenthesis 2 comma space 0 right parenthesis.
