1) Mr Das spends a fixed amount every amount every month on sugar consumption. If the price of sugar is increased by 25% & Mr Das still wants to spend the same amount every month, what should be his percentage reduction in consumption of sugar

If we consider the proce of sugar increased by 'x%' then reduction in consumption will be given by [(x/100+x) . 100]%
Here x = 25%
So, the decrease in consumption of sugar is [(25/100+25).100%]
= 25/125 times 100%
= 20 %
