1. Although humility refers to the quality of having a modest view of one's importance, I think one should not keep their talents hidden. There is a difference between being comfortable with one’s skills and boasting about it to the point of becoming an ungrateful, arrogant person. Humility speaks the truth but arrogance works on manipulation.
2. It is fine to let people know of your skills and talents when asked. If you are not invited to a show and tell, it becomes an arrogant parade. Also, graciousness and gratitude in whatever you do and say goes a long way.
