1.   An object 40N immersed in water losses 10N weight, will the object float or sink? Why?

Hi Srinidhi,

The object will sink because the weight of the body is greater than the upthrust or buoyant force.

Here the weight of the body is given as 40 N and when immersed in water it still has weight(30 N) more than the buoyant force.
