1. a hemispherical bowl of internal diameter 36cm contains  liquid. this liquid is filled into 72 cylindrical bottles of diameter 6cm. find the ht of each  bottle if 10% of liquid is wasted in this transfer.  2 From pt P, two tangents PA  and PB are drawn to a circle with centre O, If OP= 2r show that triangle APB is equilateral.

Volume of liquid in hemispherical bowl = begin mathsize 12px style 1 over 12 pi space D cubed space equals space 1 over 12 straight pi cross times 36 cross times 36 cross times 36 space equals space 3888 straight pi space............. left parenthesis 1 right parenthesis end style
Volume of liquid in 72 cylinderical container = begin mathsize 12px style 72 space cross times straight pi over 4 cross times straight d squared cross times straight h space equals space 18 cross times straight pi cross times 6 cross times 6 cross times straight h space equals space 648 cross times straight pi cross times straight h end style ................(2)
90% of liquid is filled in 72 cylinderical container, we can write,  3888×π×0.9 = 648×π×h ............(3)
 
height of each cylinderical bottle = 5.4 cm
