0.4g and 0.75g of two samples of the oxide of nickel were found to contain 0.32g and 0.6g of the metel respectively. Show that these results verify the law of definite proportion.

law of definite proportions, states that a given chemical compound always contains the same elements in the exact same proportions by mass. As an example, any sample of pure water contains 11.19% hydrogen and 88.81% oxygen by mass. It does not matter where the sample of water came from or how it was prepared. Its composition, like that of every other compound, is fixed.
Here the %ages are - 100×0.32/0.4 =80% and 0.6×100/0.75 = 80%
so, the percentages of metals in the two samples are fixed so follows the law of definite proportion.
