Let the height of a triangular field be h.
Then, the base of a triangular field will be 3h.
Area of triangular field
=(1/2) x base x height
= (1/2) x 3h x h = fraction numerator 3 h squared over denominator 2 end fractionsq. m
Cost of cultivating 100 sq. m is 36.72
Thus, cost of cultivating fraction numerator 3 h squared over denominator 2 end fractionsq. m = fraction numerator 36.72 over denominator 100 end fraction cross times fraction numerator 3 h squared over denominator 2 end fraction
According to question,
fraction numerator 36.72 over denominator 100 end fraction cross times fraction numerator 3 h squared over denominator 2 end fraction=49572
rightwards double arrow h squared equals fraction numerator 749572 cross times 2 cross times 100 over denominator 36.72 cross times 3 end fraction
h squared equals 90000 rightwards double arrow rightwards double arrow h equals 300
Hence, height = 300 m and base = 3 x 300 = 900 m
