Scale factor is the ratio of the size of the new figure (which will be constructed) to that of the given figure.
The scale factor may be < 1 or > 1.
If the scale factor is < 1, then the new figure will be smaller in size to the given figure.
If the scale factor is > 1, then the new figure will be greater in size to the given figure.
Taking scale factor into consideration we divide a line segment in the specified ratio and use it to draw a triangle, similar to a given triangle, with sides proportional to the sides of given triangle.Construction of Tangents

Number of tangents from a point on the circle is only one.
Number of tangents from a point outside the circle is two.
