Here are some interesting facts about Rahul Dravid which you must know:

1. Rahul Dravid is the only player in the history of cricket who made his international debut and retirement in the same match. He played his only T20 against England last year and scored 31 off 21.

2. Dravid’s father worked for Kissan (known for producing jam); therefore, he was nicknamed Jammy.

3. The story of Jammy does not end here. There is also a Jammy Cup tournament held in Bengaluru. The man-of-the-match is presented with the title 'Jammy of the Day’.

4. Rahul Dravid believes that you can learn from everyone in the game. Therefore, he prefers not talking during a game.

5. As a child, Rahul Dravid loved playing hockey. He also got selected for Karnataka’s Junior State team.

6. Rahul Dravid started playing cricket at the age of 12. He represented Karnataka in the under 15, 17 and 19 levels.

7. In 1991, when Rahul Dravid made his Ranji Trophy debut, he was still in college.
