Paper Pattern of Class 12 CBSE to Change

Every year board exams undergo some change or the other and this year too it is not very different. The CBSE board has decided to make significant changes to the paper pattern for Class 12. The pattern is a clear shift from ‘objective’ questions to ‘application-based’. In light of this, the number of objective questions for subjects such as political science, economics, business studies and accountancy will be reduced to make space for the longer format questions.

Key highlights:

1. Maths will have 26 objective questions instead of 29

2. Business studies will have 25 objective questions instead of 30

3. Economics will have 29 objective questions instead of 32

This change indicates that from now on students will have to emphasise more on subjective-based evaluation and alter the way they prepare for their exams.
