But before moving on to the exam schedule for NEET 2019, let us take a quick look at the changes that will take effect from this attempt onward.


NTA to Hold NEET 2019. What Are The Changes?


Sometime back there was an announcement from the HRD minister Prakash Javadekar about changes in exam body, the exam pattern and mode of examination for competitive exams like JEE and NEET.

As per the previous notification, it was officially declared that:

 

  • JEE, NEET exams will be conducted by NTA instead of CBSE
  • The exams will be held twice a year instead of once
  • The exams will be conducted in the online mode only

 

As per the date sheet and the latest announcement, it now stands that:

 

  • JEE, NEET exams will be conducted by NTA instead of CBSE
  • JEE Exams will be held twice a year instead of once. The date sheet for the same is given above
  • JEE Exams will be held in the online mode
  • NEET Exam will be held once a year. The date sheet for the same is given above
  • Exam to be conducted in the offline mode
  • Exam to be conducted in the same number of languages as before

NEET Exam Pattern 2019

Exam Date: 5th May

Exam Mode: Offline.

Exam Duration: 3 hours (10:00 AM – 11:00 PM)

No. of Questions: 180 [Physics (45), Chemistry (45), Biology (90)]

Question Type: Objective/MCQ

Total Marks:  720

Marking Scheme: Each question will contain four marks. Total four marks will be given for each correct answer.

Negative Marking:  One mark will be deducted for each incorrect response.

*Candidates are to use only blue/black ball point pen to mark answers.


NEET Syllabus 2019

The NEET 2019 syllabus is comprised of three subjects, Chemistry, Physics, and Biology. Botany. To gear up for the upcoming exams, candidates should prepare as per the officially prescribed syllabus. The syllabus, which has been notified by the MCI (Medical Council of India) comprises of chapters from Classes 11 & 12.

NEET 2019 Preparation Tips & Tricks

 

  • Ensure that all basic concepts are clear.
  • Work on speed and perfection.
  • You should be able to tackle moderate level problems in less than 3 minutes.
  • Easier questions are to be solved in less than 1 minute, thereby leaving you enough time for the more difficult ones.
  • Prepare a timetable allotting proportionate study time to all subjects.
  • Do not invest too much time to just one subject.
  • Cover the important topics first. And then touch upon the rest.
