NET to be Conducted by CBSE
The CBSE NET will be conducted on 28 December 2014.
The National Eligibility Test (NET) which was earlier conducted by the University Grants Commission (UGC) will now be conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The CBSE NET will be conducted on 28 December 2014. The examination will be conducted in 79 subjects.
NET is conducted for Indian citizens who aspire for Junior Research Fellowships (JRFs) and assistant professorship or both. The last NET was held on 29 June 2014 and about 33,000 had appeared for it.
UGC will not be conducting exams now, but it will lend its support to CBSE during exams.
