NEET UG 2017: Examination, Eligibility, Paper Pattern

ShareRegistrations have begun at http://cbseneet.nic.in/ for the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET), which will be conducted by CBSE for admissions to full-time undergraduate medical courses in government and private institutions across India.
CBSE NEET UG 2017 will be conducted on Sunday, 07 May 2017. The is applicable for admissions to full-time undergraduate medical and dental courses in the following categories: (i) All India Quota Seats (ii) State Government Quota Seats (iii) State/Management/NRI Quota Seats in Private Medical / Dental Colleges or any Private/ Deemed University (iv) Central Pool Quota Seats.
Candidates can apply for NEET (UG), 2017 “Online” only. So, do read the instructions, procedure and Information Bulletin carefully before you start filling the Online Application Form.

NEET UG 2017: Eligibility
Indian Nationals, Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), Oversees Citizen of India (OCIs), Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) & Foreign Nationals are eligible to appear in NEET (UG)-2017 & also eligible for 15% All India Quota seats.
NEET UG 2017: Age Criteria
Unreserved Category: Born on or between 08.05.1992 and 01.01.2001
For Candidates of SC/ST/OBC Category: born on or between 08.05.1987 and 01.01.2001
The upper age limit for NEET is 25 years as on the date of examination with a relaxation of 5 years for candidates belonging to OBC/SC/ST category.
NEET UG 2017 Educational Qualification
1. The candidate must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology and English individually
2. The candidate must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Bio-technology at the qualifying examination.
3. Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes or Other Backward Classes, the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology taken together in qualifying examination be 40% instead of 50% for General candidates.
4. For persons with locomotor disability of lower limbs, the minimum of 45% marks for General-PH and 40% marks for SC-PH/ST-PH/OBC-PH are required.
5. Those who are appearing in Class XII examination in 2017 can also appear for the entrance test provisionally subject to their fulfilling the conditions later.
Disability Certificate
Applicants applying under the Physically Handicapped Category will have to produce their Disability Certificate from one of the disability assessment boards available at the four metro cities listed below:
1. Vardhman Mahavir Medical College
2. All India Institute of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
3. Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education & Research
4. Madras Medical College
NEET UG: AADHAR CARD MANDATORY
Candidates applying for NEET UG 2017 have to enter their AADHAAR number, name, date of birth & gender which will be validated with the UIDAI’s data. Particulars that don’t match can lead to a failure in completing the registration process. Candidates who don’t have their AADHAR cards yet can visit any Aadhaar enrolment centre (list available at www.uidai.gov.in) to get enrolled for Aadhaar.
CBSE has set up facilitation centres in each city of examination for the purpose of Aadhaar enrolment. The applicants can approach these centres for free for Aadhaar enrolment. The list of the facilitation centre is available on www.cbseneet.nic.in. These applicants who have enrolled for Aadhaar and have not received Aadhaar should enter 28-digit Aadhaar Enrolment ID printed on the Aadhaar enrolment slip at the time of filling online application form for NEET (UG) 2017.
For foreign Nationals, Oversees Citizen of India (OCI’s), Persons of Indian Origin (PIO’s), Passport Number is the mandatory requirement for filling up of the online application of NEET-2017.
NEET UG 2017 EXAM PATTERN
NEET UG 2017 Exam would be held in the offline mode (pen and paper based mode). There will be one paper having 180 objective type questions (four options with single correct answer) from Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology). The exam will be conducted in 8 regional languages apart from English and Hindi: Bengali, Marathi, Assamese, Gujarati, Telugu, Kannada, and Odia.
The duration of paper would be 03 hours from 10.00 a.m. to 01.00 p.m.
