Students wishing to pursue MBBS and BDS courses can start applying for NEET II now. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has started accepting online applications for NEET II, 2016 since yesterday (May 26).
NEET is required for admissions to the all India quota seats, state government quota seats where the state government concerned opts and private, management and even NRI quota seats in all private medical and dental colleges or any private or Deemed university. However, NEET is not applicable this year for government medical colleges.
According to a statement by the CBSE Board, as per the Supreme Court order, students who didn't appear for AIPMT-2016 (NEET-I) and candidates who appeared but have apprehension that they had not prepared well can reappear for NEET II. The catch here however is that they will have to give up their candidature for NEET 1.
The NEET- II exam will take place on July 24, 2016. Joint result for both part 1 and 2 will be declared on August 17, 2016 and the admission process be completed by September 30 this year.
