NEET 2019 Application Form, Registration Dates, How to Apply?

ShareLast month, there was an announcement from the HRD minister Prakash Javadekar about changes in exam body, the exam pattern and mode of examination for NEET 2019.
As per the previous notification, it was officially declared that:
- NEET exams will be conducted by NTA instead of CBSE
- The exams will be held twice a year instead of once
- The exams will be conducted in the online mode only
As per the date sheet and the latest announcement, it now stands that:
- NEET exams will be conducted by NTA instead of CBSE
- NEET Exam will be held once a year. The date sheet for the same is given below
- Exam to be conducted in the offline mode
- Exam to be conducted in the same number of languages as before
NEET 2019 – Dates Sheet for May Exams
Finally, the exam schedules for NEET 2019 have been released by the government. The exams will be conducted by NTA, and the dates, as released by the HRD ministry, are as follows:

NEET 2019 Registration Criteria at a Glance:
- Indian nationals, OCI, PIO, NRI and foreign candidates can apply.
- Age Criteria - 17 years as on 31st December, 2019.
- Upper Age Limit - 25 years for General candidates, 30 years for SC/ ST /OBC candidates
- Educational Qualification - Passed 12th or equivalent exam from any recognized board.
- Subject Requirement - Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Bio-technology and English.
- Marks Criteria- Minimum 50% marks (for general), 45% marks (for general PH) and 40% marks for SC/ST & OBC candidates.
How to Register For NEET 2019? Step by Step Guide:
Step 1 – Fill the application form for NEET 2019. To do that, go to the official website of NTA (nta.ac.in) and click on the ‘Apply Online’ button.
Step 2 – Fill up all the details and proceed to apply online.
Step 3 – Duly fill up your details for registration. Take your time while filling in important details like Mother’s Name, Father’s Name, Category, Date of Birth, Gender, Nationality, State of Eligibility (for 15% All India Quota), Mobile Number, Email ID, Aadhaar card number, etc.
Step 4 – If you are confident that you have filled in all the details correctly, click on ‘Preview and Next’ and if you think you need to edit the information, click on ‘Reset’. If you click on ‘Preview and Next’, the information that you have filled in will show on the screen.
This is your final chance to review the information that you have provided. If you want to edit it, click ‘Back’. If you want to proceed with the registration date, click ‘Next’.
Step 5 – Once you click ‘Next’, you will be asked to choose a password. Choose a strong password. Re-enter password. Choose a security question. An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number. Enter OTP, and hit the ‘Submit’ button.
Step 6: Now that you have registered successfully, login with your registration process and password to fill up the online application form for NEET 2019.
Step 7: Fill in your personal details, enter EOB, medium of question paper and choose exam center. Enter your contact details, select dress code, enter security pin and then click on ‘Save as Draft’. Click on ‘Preview and Submit’.
Review your entries and click on ‘Submit’ once you are satisfied.
Step 8: Upload your scanned photograph and signature. File size for photograph – 10KB-100KB. File size for signature – 3KB-20KB.
Step 9: Next up, you will be directed to the payment gateway. Simply follow the instructions to pay the application fee. Choose the Bank, and proceed to make payment. You can use Debit/Credit Card/Net Banking/e-wallet (CSC) to make payment.
Step 10: The last and the final step is to take a print out of the confirmation page and make sure you keep it safe.
